    Good news travels fast: Partage Plus in the media

    The good news spread fast: Over 22.000 digital images and records of Art Nouveau objects, artworks, posters and buildings have been made publically available through the Europeana website. Thanks to the excellent network of the Partage Plus team the good news reached Art Nouveau enthusiasts around the world within a few days. Everyone can now view beautiful images, records and even 3D models of important artworks online through the Europeana website.

    22k Art Nouveau records successfully digitised

    Over 22k digital images and records of Art Nouveau objects, artworks, posters and buildings have been made publically available through the Europeana website thanks to the achievements of the Partage Plus project, coordinated by Collections Trust. Works by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, René Lalique, Gustav Klimt and other notable Art Nouveau figures can now be viewed online – in many cases for the first time.

    Drents Museum: Quest for Beauty

    From October 2, 2013 until March 9, 2014 the Drents Museum presents an exhibition on the artist’s quest for beauty. Work by Jan Sluijters, Gerrit Willem Dijselhof, Leo Gessel and Piet Mondriaan and others will be shown. The Drents Museum collection Art 1885-1935 includes hundreds of sketches and sketchbooks. Most of these come from the estates of painters’ workshops, which were included in the collection of the Drents Museum as a result of the efforts of the Stichting Schone Kunsten (SSK) or the Foundation of Fine Arts.

    MUO: Face of Art Nouveau - Impact of Time

    The Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb opened a photography exhibition of Croatian Art Nouveau architecture on 25 September. Architecture enthusiasts were invited to participate via social networks and forums dealing with Croatian cultural heritage. Once the candidates have submitted photos, a team of experts has selected about 50 works. The photos that meet the standards will be included in the project.

    RÖRM: 3D evening event

    As part of the annual festival of culture and porcelain in Lidköping the Rörstrand Museum had a selection of 3D images projected to the outside wall of their museum. Visitors of the Swedish festival had the chance to get a first glimpse of some of the most exquisite Art Nouveau ceramics from the museum which were digitized in the frame of the Partage Plus project. The 3D evening event was a huge success!

    Vital Art Nouveau 1900, Prague

    From November 1, 2013 - December 31, 2015 The exhibition to be held in the Municipal House in Prague will present a selection of the most outstanding works of Czech and European Art Nouveau art from the holdings of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague. The exhibition is intended to show the Art Nouveau arts and crafts as part of the ground-breaking, forward-looking trends and emancipation efforts that evolved in the late 19th century, as a reformist art movement that strove for “the multiplication and intensification of life”.
