Art Nouveau World Day: Programme for Subotica

For this year´s Art Nouveau World Day the Serbian city Subotica will host several events to celebrate the splendor of the Art Nouveau movement in Central Eastern Europe. Subotica is a member of the Réseau Art Nouveau Network and part of the new European Cultural Route. The Subotica Tourist Organization in cooperation with other cultural institutions such as the City Museum, Modern Gallery "Artistic Encounters" and "Zavod za kulturu vojvodjanskih Jevreja Ltd" will organize a special guided tour through four Art Nouveau buildings. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the Synagogue of Subotica, the Dömötör House, the Raichle Palace (today a modern gallery building) and the Leovic Palace, which was designed by Ödön Lehner. The tour will be free of charge.


Inspired by Art Nouveau Selfie Contest Subotica will organize a local Art Nouveau Selfie Contest "Secesija" meaning "Art Nouveau and I". The best photos will be published on the Subotica Tourism Organization official website, the local Art Nouveau Facebook page and the local Tourist organization Facebook page and will be awarded on June 10th.


Moreover, the the book "Art Nouveau in Subotica's Public Collections" will be sold at a discount in Subotica City Musem on June 10th.
