National Museum Warsaw and Partage Plus project awarded with the Sybilla 2015 prize

The National Museum Warsaw (MNW) received the Polish Sybilla 2015 award in the category "Best Digitisation Project" for the participation in the Partage Plus project. The international project kicked off in March 2012 with the aim of digitizing and 3D scanning more than 79.000 art works from the Art Nouveau period. All items were made available via the Euopeana platform and can be accessed under the following link. The Partage Plus team, composed of 25 partner institutions from all over Europe, feels immensely honoured by this award and thanks the organizers of Sybilla 2015 for this mention.

Love Art Nouveau on Flickr

Collections Trust re-launched their Love Art Nouveau campaign to coincide with Art Nouveau World Day (June 10), organised by The Museum of Applied Arts in Budapest and Szecessziós Magazin (Art Nouveau Magazine) in Budapest. This was the week of the anniversary of both Antonio Gaudi and Ödön Lechner – two charismatic architects of the movement, from two edges of Europe. The Love Art Nouveau campaign ran from the 7th – 14th June and urged people to use the Google Map to find Art Nouveau architecture near them, take a photo of it, and email it along with a brief description.

The photos are available on the Flickr page now and will be contributed to Culture Grid and Europeana as part of the Partage Plus project!
