National Museum Warsaw and Partage Plus project awarded with the Sybilla 2015 prize

The National Museum Warsaw (MNW) received the Polish Sybilla 2015 award in the category "Best Digitisation Project" for the participation in the Partage Plus project. The international project kicked off in March 2012 with the aim of digitizing and 3D scanning more than 79.000 art works from the Art Nouveau period. All items were made available via the Euopeana platform and can be accessed under the following link. The Partage Plus team, composed of 25 partner institutions from all over Europe, feels immensely honoured by this award and thanks the organizers of Sybilla 2015 for this mention.

Review: CTs presentations at the Partage Plus Conference in Rome

Katie Smith:

‘Katie Smith from the project coordinators, Collections Trust gave a presentation at The New Bourgouis Taste’ conference on the project. The presentation kicked off the conference with the aim of giving the audience an overview of the project and helping them to understand the context of the presentations throughout the day. She gave a ‘showcase’ of some of the collections digitised to date and demonstrated Europeana to the attendees and also invited the audience to engage with the project via the website and social media.’

Gordon McKenna :

‘Gordon McKenna from the Collections Trust discussed a recent campaign that the coordinators organised called ‘Love Art Nouveau’. This urged the UK public to digitise their local Art Nouveau architecture. He showed the audience some of the buildings which had never before been digitisied in such detail, and demonstrated to the audience how they may be able to use this open digitisation approach within their own countries to engage people with the project.’
